Around 1970 of the last century we started casting aluminum drains ourselves, with suitable grids and several more parts for making these sinks complete. In expensive molds, all custom-made, made of cast iron, we handled this with the utmost care and care. Until the mid-1990s, we used these molds and stopped casting aluminum ourselves. Many of these old aluminum products have been replaced by plastic and stainless steel drains. But many of the old molds are still there and now "serve" as a special decoration in Joost van den Berg's garden, although heavily rusted, but that gives a special effect between the many greenery and the flowers.
